After the discussion about Alex, I thought I'd add this warning about Leandro.
I'm especially careful in my suite at the Atlantico, since it tends to be a room with enough space for everyone to congregate before heading to Corujinha's and sometimes afterwards. With guys coming in and out of your room, you never know who might have sticky fingers.
One thing I've noticed about many Brazilian guys and Argentina guys I've met, is that they don't normally ask for permission to use your cologne, personal items, food, drink, and especially the telephone in your room. Next time, I'm thinking of unplugging the telephone and hiding it while they're around
Luckily, with a couple of thousand dollars worth of electronics around, none of that was taken, and I love my mini-computer that locks up in the safe.
And I've never had anything at all stolen from me until this last trip. The articles were fairly minor, an almost gone bottle of Armani cologne and a razor. I can't believe someone would steal a razor, but oh well.
I, at first, suspected William since he was last in the bathroom when I noticed it missing, but I was later convinced it was most likely Leandro.
I had given William a present of the complimentary Delta bag I had gotten on the flight down. He forgot to take it, but then I noticed it went missing the night that Leandro and Enigma came over.
I discovered it in Leandro's bag on my last night, and I pulled it out and gave it back to William. And with no shame or embarrassment, he walks over to William, grabs it, and puts it back into his bag.
In his mind, I guess, he stole it fair and square.
Leandro is certainly not the best looking guy I've met in Brazil. We connected from a past experience at the old Estacao when he was slimmer and better looking. He did introduce me to Enigma and cute William, and we did have a good time including him being passivo. But, then he hounded me the rest of the week to see if he could come over. I only gave him R$50 each time we met, including at the hotel
I would strongly recommend you not allow Leandro in your hotel room. Even though the articles stolen were of minor value, someone who steals once, will certainly steal again.
Even sauna guys that earn their living based on their reputation are not to be trusted, it seems.
